Conference Overview

Did you know that multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) is a nationally recognized framework for systemic growth and improvement? Did you know that implementation of MTSS improves student behavior, academics, social-emotional, and graduation outcomes? MTSS can provide the infrastructure for continuous improvement and alignment of existing support systems and requirements (i.e., PBIS, RTI-SST, interventions) to create an effective comprehensive educational
service delivery model. As a result, it can also help save districts and schools time and money while creating more supportive work environments for educators. This session will demonstrate how implementation of MTSS and its four essential components provide districts and schools a comprehensive yet flexible system for providing high-quality instruction, enhancement opportunities, and intervention designed to meet the meet the unique needs of local sites. Participants with learn how to apply the Taxonomy of Intervention Intensity to effectively distinguish among the tiers of support and strengthen the impact of evidence-based instruction and intervention through the use of high leverage practices within MTSS. Valuable resources and tools to support effective local implementation will be shared.
